1. Lake Como, Italy
Lake Como is a beautiful lake in the heart of Italy. The lake is surrounded by mountains and little villas to stay in. There are also some small villages nearby that offer great food and a relaxing culture.

2. Lake Tahoe, USA
Lake Tahoe is a popular lake located just outside Nevada. In the summer the clear water is perfect for swimming activities. Then in the winter, the lake freezes nicely for skating and winter sports.

3. Lake Louise, Canada
Lake Louise, in Banff National Park, is incredibly stunning. The remote lake is surrounded by mountains on all sides and is kept pristine. Go for a hike in the area or canoe in the water. Just don’t jump in, the water temperature is barely above freezing!

4. Lake Baikal, Russia
Russia’s, Lake Baikal is the deepest freshwater lake in the world. It’s great in the summer but becomes a true icy wonderland when the water freezes over in the winter. It’s a great ice-fishing spot!

5. Crater Lake, USA
Crater Lake in Oregon is best known best for its dark blue color and depth. It was once part of an ancient volcano but is now an amazing lake with some of the best freshwater scuba diving around.
6. Plitvice Lakes, Croatia
Plitvice Lakes National Park has a bunch of small lakes connected by a variety of waterfalls. Hang out under the falls, or dive into the crystal clear waters in the lagoon-like paradise.
7. Lake Bled, Slovenia
Lake Bled is on an amazing Slovenian island near a medieval castle. The almost emerald-green lake is a great spot for rowing your boat or hiking around the area.

Lake Titicaca is one of the highest lakes above sea level in the world. Relax in the water and overlook the surrounding floating Uros Islands that transport port you to another world.
