1. Grand Haven, Michigan, USA
The attractive town on the West Coast is sprawling with beaches and green spaces, the best environments for our four-legged friends. 2. Vancouver, BC, Canada
You could be convinced that more dogs live in Vancouver than humans. Vancouverites love their pups and the city is equipped with off-leash parks and beaches. Many patios welcome furry patrons and pets get pampered at the dog spas and pet boutiques downtown. Just outside of the city, you'll wander into an endless wilderness of hiking trails to explore.
3. Tokyo, Japan
You probably wouldn't think of Tokyo as a place for pets but it's overly dog-friendly. It might be a requirement to love dogs to live in this city because pet owners are everywhere. Madrid was the first city in the country to allow dogs on the Metro and numerous restaurants invite furry companions. The dog-themed El Perro y la Galleta lets pups sit next to you at the table.
20. Swiss Alps, Switzerland
Imagine exploring the world-renowned Swiss Alps with your favorite hiking buddy by your side. Most of the trails and nature parks allow dogs, some might require a leash. When you're off the mountain paths, pets can join you for the ride on public transportation with their own cheap ticket.
